First, thanks for having a look at my website.

What can I say about myself that is not incriminating. Here goes !!

I can not remember a time when I did not enjoy music and I suppose my earliest memories are of people like Shirley Temple and Burl Ives.
On my seventh birthday I was told I could choose a record of my own to add to my parents modest collection, The record I chose was Hank Williams 78, Hey! Good Looking. Not a bad start but the bug didn't really get me for another 4 or 5 years.

My mum used to walk round the house singing to Dickie Valentine or David Whitfield and one day on the radio I heard for the first time proper Rock n Roll. ( I can't remenber now if it was Elvis or Little Richard) but my life has not been the same since. The chase was on. I used to spend my pocket money buying second hand records for a few pence and hoping to find some of the wonderful things I had heard on Radio Luxembourg When I left school and started work buying my first brand new record with my own money, Running Bear by Johnny Preston. Rock n Roll has always been my first love but over the years I have enjoyed many different styles and over the last fifty years have managed to accumulate a collection of over 60,000 records of all genres from very early Music Hall through Jazz ,Blues, Swing, and Dance Band right up to the 80s. I am now 65 and no one else in the family has my interest so I have decided to reluctantly let them go and hopefully other collectors will get the same pleasure that I have had from them.

If you need any more information on an item I have listed please ask, I am very approachable and easy to work with as long as I know what is going on.

Thanks for reading this and I hope you find something of interest.
